Its no news for most people that after a relatively less cold winter last year, this year the chilly winter is back in Europe with snow in unusual places. After the festive Christmas and New Year celebrations, cities are again calm and quiet with the chill setting in. We set out on a quiet weekend evening to roam around Frankfurt.

Its the festive season and Frankfurt Christmas market, one of the largest in Germany has been going on with lots of food, drinks, rides and the most important of all, people from far and wide. The mighty High Tatras of Slovakia

A trip to the Tatras is never complete without a visit to Lomnicky Peak. It is the second highest peak in Slovakia after Gerlachovsky Peak and the best thing is that it is readily accessible via cable car.

As we made our way towards the cable car station, the mighty mountain emerged in front of us. It was magical. The first cable car station is at Tatranska Lomnica with two intermediate stations in between called Štart and Skalnate Pleso before it reaches Lomicky Peak.

Mesmerizing Meteora and Monasteries

What would cross your mind first if you heard about Greece? Thousands of years of rich history? Iconic monuments? Mind blowing sculptures? Origin of the Olympic games? What if I told you that there is much more to Greece than these?

Meteora, located very near to the town of Kalambaka, gives you an entirely different view of Greece. The naturally created sandstone structures and the monasteries on top of them would leave you wondering about how these came into existence.

Belogradchik – Rocks and Legends

To the north-west of Bulgaria and near the western slopes of the Balkan mountains, lies the beautiful village of Belogradchik and some amazing rock formations called the Belogradchik rocks.

The rocks are said to have been formed since millions of years as a result of erosion and other natural activities. I have seen a lot of natural rock formations but the ones in Belogradchik were really unique.
